On November 4th 2003, the Gephex Project released Gephex 0.0.4beta2. This will be the last release before 0.0.4.
Gephex is a modular real-time video effect framework. 0.0.4beta2 provides lots of bug-fixes and some good new stuff. Our main focus since 0.0.4alpha2 was to improve stability and usability.

We fixed all severe open bugs and made the network code much more robust. This allows to detach the user interface from the engine and to continue the running effect. Another benefit is its improved startup speed. Loading the plug-ins now only takes a fraction of the time it did before. As in every release, we have some new modules, most notably a font module that uses the sdl_ttf library and more effecTV ports (quarkTV for example). To stabilize Gephex, we removed some nonfunctional parts, such as the sequencer or the playlist. We did a code cleanup and removed lots of old stuff.
